Welcome to BlindKey. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and ZenithSyntax ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the BlindKey mobile application ("App").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the App and delete it from your device.

2. Definitions

• "App" refers to the BlindKey mobile application and all related software provided by ZenithSyntax.
• "ZenithSyntax" refers to the development team and company responsible for the creation and maintenance of the App.
• ".blindkey file" refers to the proprietary encrypted file package format created or imported within the App.
• "Content" refers to any data, files, images, videos, or documents encrypted, stored, or shared by the User through the App.

3. Purpose and Scope of Service

BlindKey is a local utility tool designed to provide:

• Secure local file storage.
• On-device encryption and decryption.
• Sharing capabilities via the .blindkey format.
• User-defined access controls, including expiry dates and viewing permissions.

Note: BlindKey is a local tool. We do not provide cloud storage, content moderation, or remote data recovery services.

4. User Responsibilities and Lawful Use

You are solely responsible for your conduct and any Content you process through the App. By using BlindKey, you represent and warrant that you will use the App only for lawful purposes.

Prohibited Activities include, but are not limited to:

• Storage or distribution of illegal, extremist, or terrorism-related content.
• Activities involving fraud, phishing, or the distribution of malware.
• Harassment, threats, or infringement upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Any action that violates local, national, or international laws.

5. Disclaimer of Monitoring and Control

ZenithSyntax operates on a "Zero-Knowledge" principle. You acknowledge that:

• We do not monitor, review, or have access to your encrypted files.
• We do not participate in or facilitate file transfers between users.
• All actions performed within the App are the sole responsibility of the User.

6. Encryption and Data Recovery Warning

All encryption and decryption processes occur locally on your device.

• No Password Recovery: ZenithSyntax does not store or transmit your passwords or encryption keys.
• Permanent Loss: If you forget your password or lose your encryption key, your data will be permanently inaccessible. We cannot recover it for you.
• Data Integrity: We are not liable for data loss, corrupted files, or hardware failure resulting in the loss of encrypted Content.

7. Expiry and Access Control

The App allows users to set expiry dates on .blindkey files.

• Time Validation: Enforcing expiry may require an internet connection to verify global time.
• Automatic Revocation: Once a file expires, access is revoked. ZenithSyntax is not responsible for the loss of access or the automatic deletion of data resulting from user-set security parameters.

8. Third-Party Services and Advertisements

• Internet Access: Certain features, including file validation and advertisements, require an active internet connection.
• Third-Party Ads: Advertisements are served by third-party networks. ZenithSyntax does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content of these ads or the privacy practices of the providers.
• Libraries: The App may utilize third-party libraries. We are not liable for any malfunctions or security vulnerabilities arising from these external services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZenithSyntax and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or financial loss.
• Legal consequences resulting from your use of the App.
• Unauthorized access to your device due to your negligence.
• Any misuse of the App by third parties.

10. No Warranty

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. ZenithSyntax makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App’s fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability, or that the App will be entirely error-free.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZenithSyntax and its team from and against any claims, liabilities, or legal expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the App.

12. Law Enforcement Cooperation

As a local encryption tool, ZenithSyntax does not store user data. However, we will cooperate with lawful authorities only as required by law. We do not provide any guarantees of anonymity if your device is seized or if you use the App for illegal activities.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZenithSyntax is established.
